Concept: An infographic that explains how to make mochitsuki. I used a rabbit to explain the steps because in certain Asian folklore, there is a rabbit on the moon making mochi. The story is about an old homeless man asking the wildlife for food. Depending on who tells the story the animals are different. But the one thing that is the same is the rabbit. The other animals were able to give the man food but the rabbit was not able to get anything but grass which is not sustainable for a human. So the rabbit made a fire and jumped into the fire to cook himself in order for the man to eat. The man picked the bunny out of the fire and revealed himself to be the moon goddess. The goddess was so touched by the rabbit’s sacrifice that she took the rabbit back to the moon to help make mochi.
